Description

UGREEN CM219

The UGREEN CM219 70336 is a compact USB-C hub that expands one compatible USB-C port into four USB-A ports. It is useful for laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other devices that need additional USB connections.

The hub provides four USB-A 3.0 ports for connecting keyboards, mice, USB flash drives, external storage, printers, and other compatible peripherals. Moreover, the USB 3.0 interface supports data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps. This makes it suitable for transferring large files and connecting everyday USB devices.

The CM219 uses an attached USB-C connector for connection to the host device. Therefore, you do not need to carry a separate data cable. Its compact design also makes it easy to keep in a laptop bag or backpack.

In addition, the hub includes a Micro-USB power input. This port can provide additional power when connected peripherals require more power than the host device can supply. However, it does not charge the connected laptop or tablet.

The hub also supports OTG functionality, making it suitable for compatible USB-C smartphones and tablets. It works with many Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPadOS devices, provided the USB-C port supports data or OTG functions.

Furthermore, the four USB ports share the available USB-C connection bandwidth. Therefore, the maximum 5Gbps speed is a theoretical shared limit rather than 5Gbps for every port simultaneously.

It is important to note that the CM219 70336 is a data hub, not a full multimedia docking station. It does not provide HDMI display output, Ethernet, or USB Power Delivery charging.

Overall, the UGREEN CM219 70336 is a practical choice for adding multiple USB-A connections to a compatible USB-C device.
